Programmer/Systems Analyst

The successful candidate will work with business partners throughout the organization and across multiple business functions to enhance, develop/design new systems, support existing systems and evaluate implementation of new technology solutions.

Job Duties

  • Perform complex data mining and aggregation; commingle multiple datasets to develop a streamlined, efficient workflow and analysis of data presented in reports and/or interactive tools.
  • Collaborate with process owners to identify opportunities for improvement, critical needs, define requirements, and design solutions in support of business processes and / or workflows.
  • Efficiently and effectively implement technical solutions designed to maximize operational efficiency and productivity in a timely manner.
  • Validate data, including ensuring accuracy and quality of data Convert large volumes of data including data cleansing, production report generation, and upholding scheduled data delivery standards.
  • Manage the full project life-cycle from analysis to development to delivery of solutions.
  • Compose and create documentation for all processes as needed
  • Contribute to group knowledge and best practices
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or combination of demonstrated experience (3-5 years, minimum) and education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience programming in SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, xml, Visual Basic (VB) and .net
  • Thorough working knowledge of ASP.NET, VB Script, HTML, CSS and XML Web Services
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Visio 2007, Microsoft Project and Crystal Reports

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Knowledge of company supported hardware, software and operating systems to include configuration and connectivity. Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. Ability to plan, design, code, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software. Ability to develop systems solutions for operational problems. Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes. Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions. Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or mainframe applications and systems. Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications. Records maintenance skills. Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocol. Knowledge of federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software. Ability to determine the nature of computer hardware and systems software problems, and to communicate technical guidance and information to users. Ability to learn and support new hardware, software and operating systems. Work with users requires interpersonal skills. This is normally acquired through a combination of a Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of programming and/or system analysis experience. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
